Story Submission Policy

1. For good and valuable consideration, including any publicity I may receive from the use of my image story, I irrevocably consent to and authorize Empower The Fight, Inc. (“Empower The Fight”), to use, sell, publish, modify, distribute, display, copyright and reproduce all photographs, images and video which have been taken of me on behalf of Empower The Fight or provided to Empower The Fight, for Empower The Fight’s business purposes, without restriction, and without compensation to me. All negatives, positive, video or audio tapes, electronic files, together with any prints shall constitute Empower The Fight’s property, solely and completely. I agree that the Empower The Fight shall have the unlimited right to reproduce, use, publish, and distribute the photographs and to alter, modify or rearrange the videos and photographs for the promotion of Empower The Fight restaurants and activities and other such purposes on the Empower The Fight intranet site, marketing emails, the Empower The Fight website, Empower The Fight social networking sites such as YouTube, Linked-In, Instagram and Twitter, and other marketing materials.

2. For good and valuable consideration, including any publicity I may receive from the use of my story as a victim or frontline professional (“Victim Stories”), I irrevocably consent to and authorize Empower The Fight to use, sell, publish, modify, distribute, display, copyright and reproduce any Victim Stories provided to Empower The Fight for Empower The Fight’s business purposes, without restriction, and without compensation to me. All negatives and positive Victim Stories whether provided verbally, in writing, electronically or otherwise shall constitute Empower The Fight’s property, solely and completely. I agree that the Empower The Fight shall have the unlimited right to reproduce, use, publish, and distribute the Victim Stories and pull extracts and rearrange them for the promotion of Empower The Fight and its activities and other such purposes on the Empower The Fight intranet site, marketing emails, the Empower The Fight website, Empower The Fight social networking sites such as YouTube, Linked-In, Instagram and Twitter, and other marketing materials.

I release, discharge and hold harmless Empower The Fight and its representatives, assigns, employees, or any person or corporation acting under their permission, including any firm publishing or distributing the finished product, from any liability of any nature by virtue of any use whatsoever of said photographs, video and Victim Stories, even though photographs and video may be distorted, blurred, altered or used in composite forms, and the Victim Stories may be shortened and rearranged or in conjunction with factual or fictional text, or either intentionally or otherwise subject me to scandal, scorn, ridicule, reproach or indignity. I hereby expressly waive any rights of attribution or integrity in the photographs as provided for by 17 U.S.C. §106(a) and waive any right to approve the finished product or any copy which might be used in conjunction with the finished product, or the use to which it may be put. I agree to execute and deliver any further assignments, documents of title or releases as may be requested by Empower The Fight in the future to perfect Empower The Fight’s title and ownership in the photographs, video and Victim Stories and all rights therein.

I hereby grant the Empower The Fight the right to use my name, likeness, and biographical data in conjunction with the use, publication, or distribution of the photographs, videos and Family Stories but agree that the Empower The Fight is not obligated to make such attribution in any uses of the photographs, videos or Family Stories.
